Tanya has a passion for all things natural and believes in a holistic approach to life.
Having an Advance Diploma in Western Herbal Medicine and nearly completed Bachelor of Health Science in Complimentary medicine, Tanya’s studies commenced in early 2001 and cover a wide range of subjects, including herbal medicine & iridology, nutrition, pathophysiology, biochemistry and homeopathy to name a few.
Tanya has over 5 years experience in private clinical practice, whilst raising 2 children, and took over ownership of Nelson Bay Health foods in March 2015.
Tanya treats people on an individual basis taking into account that everyone’s body works differently. She believes in a gentle and balanced approach to supporting health, especially by educating people on the best choices to make when going through an illness or maintaining good health.
Cynthia spent her formative years growing up on a Poultry Farm.
Her early years were spent living a healthful and organic alternative lifestyle. She later spent time practicing yoga, complementary healthcare, chiropractic and herbal medicine. In the 90’s Cynthia trained to become a natural therapist, studying massage therapy and NLK (Neuro Linguistic Kinesiology) for 15 years until retiring. It was a dream of hers to ultimately work with her daughter Tanya in a health food environment.
As well as ‘CEO ‘ of her family, Cynthia offers a wealth of experience spanning more than 40 years.
Julie has over 25 years experience in the health food industry (or complimentary health industry).
Her background includes management level and ownership of health food stores and she is a qualified Medical Herbalist. She has also undertaken many other modalities including Diploma of Nutritional Products, Certificate in Schuessler Biochemic Cell Salts, plus the study of essential oils, vitamin/mineral therapy, wholefoods and superfoods. Julie is passionate about a holistic approach to health.
Donna started working at Nelson Bay Health Foods in October 2001, studying Advanced Retail in Health Foods, in the early years of her employment.
Donna is passionate about providing a superior experience for each and every customer who comes into the shop, acknowledging them each individually and providing them with the right advice and products to enable them to live a holistic and healthy lifestyle.
