Breakfast with Benefits

We've all heard the saying before "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day".  Starting your day without breakfast is like trying to start a car without petrol.  When there's no fuel in your tank you aren't going to get very far. 

This recipe for our favourite home-made muesli, free of grains and gluten, is the ultimate breakfast with benefits.  Guaranteed to give you what you need to get going for the day.

The nuts and seeds deliver complete protein, essential fatty acids, minerals and plenty of fibre. 

Lecithin is a natural part of every living cell of the body, especially the liver and the brain. It is also a powerful fat dissolving agent, protecting the body from excess fats accumulating in the arteries.  It converts fat and cholesterol into smaller particles allowing them to pass through the arterial walls and be utilised by all parts of the body. 

The coconut not only sweetens the muesli but it provides a serve of healthy fats too. And the Goji berries add a delicious tang and high does of immune-boosting anti-oxidants. 

We stock all these ingredients in the store so making up this mix is really easy. 


1 cup LSA

1 1/2 cups Organic Omega Seed mix

1/2 cup walnuts

1 cup dessicated coconut

1/2 cup lecithin granules

1/2 cup slithered almonds

1/4 cup Goji berries


Simply mix together and store in an air-tight container until your next breakfast. Serve with your choice of milk, a dollop of yoghurt and some fresh fruit such as banana and berries.
