Seeded muesli bars are one of our favourite snacks to make!
They are not only super nutritious but very versatile too!
Try one for breakfast on those busy mornings, pack a snack for a bushwalk, or pop in the kids lunch box. We promise you they will love them!
The seeds in this recipe are packed full of fibre, essential fatty acids, protein, magnesium and zinc.
They provide the perfect amount of crunch and sweetness to satisfy any hunger.
You will find all the ingredients online or in-store.
1 cups Organic Oats
1 cup Organic Omega seed mix* (available from our buy-in-bulk section)
1/2 cup Organic shredded coconut
1/2 cup nuts of your choice
1/2 cup Cranberries, Sultanas or Goji Berries
3 tbsp Coconut Oil
1 tsp Vanilla extract
1/3 cup Raw Honey
1/4 cup Tahini or nut butter of your choice
Place all of the dry ingredients (except the dried fruit) into a food processor or blender and gently blitz to a chunky crumble.
Place coconut oil, tahini/nut butter and honey into a saucepan on the stovetop on low. Gently heat until melted and combined.
Add the liquid to the dry ingredients and mix until combined and sticky.
Stir through dried fruit.
Line a baking tray 20cm x 20cm with baking paper. Spread the mixture evenly over the tray and press down with the back of a spoon until it is firm.
Place in the oven for 15 minutes or until golden. Allow to cool completely in the tray to set. Slice up and enjoy with a cuppa!
*Omega Seed Mix contains pepitas, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, linseeds and sesame seeds.
If you have just some of these seeds individually they will work too!
Leave out the nuts for a nut-free, school safe version. Try adding choc-chips to really please the kids!
